Proceed at your own risk. Subject: Unlock JioFi M2S (JMR1140) 1. Understanding the Lock The JioFi M2S is a 4G LTE Cat4 hotspot device locked by firmware to accept only Reliance Jio SIM cards (India). Inserting an Airtel, Vi, or international SIM will result in an error message: "Invalid SIM" or "SIM not allowed." The lock is enforced by a software flag within the device’s NVRAM (Non-Volatile Random Access Memory) or modem firmware, not by a traditional 16-digit network unlock code (NCK) that you can purchase. 2. Methods of Unlocking There is no official public unlock code for the M2S. The only working methods are: Method A: AT Command Unlock (Most Common & Free) This uses direct modem commands sent via a serial interface.

Backup your device’s original NVRAM using QPST before attempting any unlock. Without a backup, you cannot restore the original Jio lock if needed.

Requires Qualcomm EDL (Emergency Download Mode) and custom tools like QFIL. Incorrect file selection will brick the device permanently. 3. Post-Unlock Limitations & Fixes After unlocking, you may face these issues:
