On Rodia, Senator Padmé Amidala is arrested by the duplicitous Prime Minister. Jar Jar, arriving to deliver a “secret weapon” (a crate of fruit), is forced to impersonate a Jedi. Through accidental luck, he releases Padmé, causes the Separatist Viceroy to be eaten by a native beast, and triggers a popular uprising. Padmé negotiates Rodia back into the Republic. Jar Jar returns to Coruscant hailed as a hero—and a security risk. Logline: Asajj Ventress hunts a captured Separatist general on a prison ship. Ahsoka must outwit her first true dark side assassin.
A comedic but consequential episode. Jar Jar, on a supply mission, is captured by Weequay pirates allied with Dooku. Obi-Wan and Anakin are also captured. Jar Jar accidentally frees them by triggering an explosion while trying to “befriend” a giant space slug. The pirates turn on Dooku’s envoy, and the Jedi escape. Jar Jar is hailed as a hero by the Gungans, but the episode reveals Dooku is amassing a pirate fleet for a larger assault on the Outer Rim. Count Dooku has kidnapped Rotta to frame the Jedi, pushing Jabba into an alliance with the Separatists. The trio fights through droid armies, but Anakin clashes with Ahsoka’s impulsive tactics. She proves her worth by sneaking into a fortress and befriending a dirty, sickly Rotta. In the end, Anakin defeats Asajj Ventress, and Ahsoka returns Rotta to Jabba—learning that diplomacy is as vital as a lightsaber. Logline: Grievous unleashes a secret superweapon—a massive ion cannon ship—and Plo Koon’s fleet is decimated.
Mace Windu’s plan to storm Lessu fails when droid tanks hide behind schools and hospitals. Mace orders a retreat, then challenges the Twi’lek resistance leader, Cham Syndulla, to trust the Republic. Together, they trick the Separatists into firing on empty buildings, exposing the droids. Mace personally kills the Separatist commander. Cham agrees to ally with the Republic, but warns: “We will remember who helped and who hesitated.” Logline: Anakin and Ahsoka lead a small team to disable Ryloth’s anti-aircraft guns. Ahsoka makes a devastating choice.
The Malevolence , a Separatist dreadnought with an unblockable ion cannon, cripples Republic cruisers. Plo Koon is left adrift in space with his clone troopers. Anakin leads a squadron of Y-wings in a desperate trench run to destroy the ship’s main reactor. Ahsoka, left in command of a medical frigate, must navigate an asteroid field to rescue survivors. The episode ends with the Malevolence jumping to hyperspace—damaged but alive, setting up a recurring threat. Logline: Grievous retreats to a shadowy nebula. Padmé, held hostage aboard the Malevolence , must sabotage the ship from within.
