According to Islamic tradition, during the 9th year of the Islamic calendar, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was afflicted with a series of calamities, including the death of his beloved wife, Lady Khadijah, and his uncle, Abu Talib. At that time, a group of leaders from Mecca came to Medina and plotted against the Prophet.
