The previous owner—a Dr. Seamus Brennan, according to the bookplate—had sketched a tiny four-leaf clover in the margin next to a tracing of inferior ST-elevation. Beneath it, in cramped handwriting: “Look for the shamrock. The heart hides its luck in plain sight.”
