“You’re the backup,” the other Leo said, voice leaking through the speakers like radio static. “Every cracked game leaves a copy. And every copy eventually wants the wheel.” He never downloaded another pirated game again
Later, he buried the drive in a shoebox under his backyard oak tree. Next to it, he placed a sticky note he’d torn from the cracked game’s .nfo file—the one most users never read: ” the other Leo said
