Set | Mame 0.240 Full Rom

ROM sets are version-locked. Using this set with MAME 0.240 (or a compatible frontend like RetroArch’s MAME core) means zero mismatch errors . No missing files, no “ROM not found” headaches—provided you use the correct emulator.

MAME is now well past version 0.240 (current is ~0.270+ as of 2026). While 0.240 is still perfectly usable, newer versions fix emulation bugs, add drivers, and correct ROM dumps. Some games that were “non-working” in 0.240 now run fine. mame 0.240 full rom set

Some sets also include CHD files (Compressed Hunks of Data) for hard-drive or CD-based games (e.g., Killer Instinct , NFL Blitz , CarnEvil ). Adding CHDs turns the set into a near-complete arcade library. ROM sets are version-locked
