The tragedy of force is its inevitable entropy. When you stop pushing, the door swings back. When the threat of punishment is removed, behavior reverts. Force is exhausting because it requires constant external input. It is the energy of anxiety—the desperate need to prove, to win, to be right. Hawkins maps this onto the lower levels of human consciousness: Shame, Guilt, Apathy, Grief, Fear, Desire, Anger, and Pride. These are the fuel stations of force.
