That’s the point. This is a game about exploration, mapping dungeons in your head (or on actual graph paper, you legend), and talking to every single NPC because one of them is hiding the key to a secret shrine. Since we’re looking at that Switch Title ID, let’s talk performance. The game runs smoothly for the most part. However, expect some very slight frame dips in heavy weather effects (rain in Romaria) or extremely dense towns. It’s not a dealbreaker, but if you are hyper-sensitive to frame rates, the PC or PS5 version will be smoother. DRAGON QUEST III HD-2D Remake -01003E601E324000...

There’s a certain magic in seeing an 8-bit world bloom into a diorama of light, shadow, and tiny, meticulously animated trees. That’s the immediate feeling upon booting up the DRAGON QUEST III HD-2D Remake . And for those of you peeking at your save data (yes, 01003E601E324000 is the Title ID for the Switch version), you know exactly what I mean. The game runs smoothly for the most part
If you have never played DQIII : This is your golden ticket. You’ll finally understand why a whole generation of Japanese developers worship this game.
