-dadcrush- Lucie Kline - Daddys Dirty Phone -09... May 2026
Richard sighed, rubbing his temples. "Ah, Lucie. I guess I should've known this day would come."
Lucie hesitated. She didn't want to accuse him of anything without evidence, but... "I saw your phone. I didn't mean to pry, but there were some texts. With a woman."
And as for "Daddy's Dirty Phone"? It became a joke between them, a reminder of the day Lucie discovered that sometimes, the things we keep hidden are the things that can bring us closer together. -DadCrush- Lucie Kline - Daddys Dirty Phone -09...
The rest of the day was a blur. Lucie couldn't focus on anything. Her mind kept wandering back to those texts. Was her dad seeing someone? And why did she feel like she was on the cusp of discovering something much bigger?
He explained that yes, he was seeing someone. A colleague from work. They had met a few months ago, and things had developed. He knew it might come as a shock, but he wanted her to know that he was happy. Richard sighed, rubbing his temples
Lucie's heart skipped a beat. Who was her dad texting with? The 'L' seemed a likely candidate for Lucie herself, but the context didn't add up. A chill ran down her spine. There was another text from a number she didn't recognize: "D, can't we talk?"
As she poured herself a bowl of cereal, her eyes wandered to her dad's phone on the kitchen counter. It was an older model, but Lucie remembered him being quite proud of it. Maybe it was the sentimental value, or perhaps it was because it was his "dirty phone," as he jokingly referred to it. The term didn't mean what it sounded like; at least, not to Lucie's knowledge. For her dad, "dirty" meant it was off-limits to her and her siblings. A relic from his workdays, supposedly. She didn't want to accuse him of anything
Lucie listened, processing. A part of her was surprised; another part wasn't. Her mom had been gone for a while, and her dad deserved to be happy.
