Introduction: What is Al Fathur Rabbani ? Al Fathur Rabbani (Arabic: الفتح الرباني, “The Divine Revelation” or “The Lordly Opening”) is a renowned classical text in Islamic spirituality, specifically within the Shadhili Sufi tradition. It is a collection of 54 discourses (or “sittings”) delivered by the great 13th-century Sufi master Shihab al-Din Abu al-Abbas Ahmad ibn Ata’ Allah al-Iskandari (d. 1309 CE), famously known as Ibn Ata’ Allah al-Sakandari .
